ALL COMPETITIONS & NON-COMPETITIVE SPECIAL PROGRAMS

OSCAR(R)-Qualifying and FFA-relevant Festival showing around 300 films each year in more than 40 programs, events, workshops and panels.

All countries, genres and film forms are welcome.

No premiere status is required.

Positive, authentic representation, empowerment and self-determination are at the heart of our programs, and we particularly encourage queer and BIPoC filmmakers, filmmakers with disabilities and people with other experiences of marginalisation to submit their work. We encourage filmmakers to mention this in their biography.

Interfilm as an institution as well as in its curatorial approach rejects all forms of racism, sexism, misogyny, queerphobia, xenophobia, anti-Semitism, Islamophobia, ableism, classism and other discriminatory ideologies, attitudes and practices.


Opening submissions: January 31, 2024

Requirements:
1) Films completed after: 01 January 2022
2) Maximum duration: 20 Minutes
3) Country of production: All
4) Screening format: DCP, ProRes, Quick Time 1080p / h.264
5) Accepted genres: Live action, animation, documentary, experimental, dance, music video, virtual reality & new Media
6) Subtitles: Subtitles in english for films with dialogue in other languages than english.


No premiere status necessary for submission / selection.

Entries will be considered for:
- International Competition
- Documentary Competition
- German Competition
- Eject 'The Long Night of Weird Shorts' Audience Competition
- Green Film Award - Environmental Films
- KUKI 17th Young Short Film Festival Berlin
- and for all other non-competitive festival categories & special programs

A screening fee of EUR 50 will be paid to each film running in a non-competitive program, per non-competitive program (for up to 3 screenings per program respectively).

If your film has been selected it is important to notify us of any changes made since submission.
