Tipping points mark our daily existence, not only in the climate emergency, but also in the realms of science, politics, and society. They represent those critical moments when the course of events shifts, exposing us to irreversible realities. For humanity, recognizing and navigating these points of no return is essential for its sustainability. But where there’s humanity, there’s also optimism, hope, and possibility. On the eve of CERN’s 70th anniversary, an era marked by science in service of peace and stability, we invite you on a reflective journey. Revisit the events that have brought us to this point and explore ways to transcend them. In this moment defined by crucial choices that will determine the future of our existence, the time to act is undeniably 'Now or Never.’ For its thirteenth edition this year, CineGlobe seeks creative films of all genres that speak to this theme in a multitude of ways.

5) Accepted genres: Fiction (animation and hybrid also accepted)
Other criteria:
6) Languages: All films with dialogue must be either in English or French, or subtitled in English or French.

There is no specific theme for the CineGlobe youth film competition. Films should be suitable for all ages and be inspired by science and/or technology.

IMMERSIVE PROJECTS

The CineGlobe immersive experiences section is open to virtual reality projects compatible with Oculus Go, Quest, and VR cardboard. There is no particular theme, but all projects must be inspired by science and technology.
