OFFICIAL COMPETITION

The KingBonn Awards (Short Film Director Supporting Program) is an important competition of the CSFF, which aims to encourage the creation of excellent new media short films across the globe, and discover film-making talents. Award-winning directors of the program will obtain supporting funds for the creation of their next works, have priority opportunities to sign collaborative contracts in the CSFF Short Film Market and gain access to other international resources. The following six awards are open to competitors from around the world:
1) Best KingBonn Short Film: prize ¥300,000 RMB
2) Best Drama Short Film: prize ¥100,000 RMB
3) Best Documentary Short Film: prize ¥100,000 RMB
4) Best Animated Short Film: prize ¥100,000 RMB
5) Best Women Short Film: prize ¥30,000 RMB
6) Best Female Director: prize ¥30,000 RMB

Drama, documentary and animated shorts which are completed after January 1st, 2019 are qualified to apply for the competition. All submitted entries should meet the following content requirements:
① The entry must not have content (including text, dialogue, monologue, scene, background) that contravenes the laws and regulations of the People’s Republic of China;
② The entry must not have content that is related to ethnic, religious or racial discrimination;
③ The entry must not have pornographic or violence-related content;
④ The entry must not infringe the copyright of others;
⑤ Short films with positive themes, high in intellectual and artistic value and created by advanced film shooting techniques are preferred;
⑥ Creative thinking in cinematography is applauded.


Opening submissions: June 25, 2019
Free earlybird deadline: August 7, 2019 Free

Final deadline: September 15, 2019 10 USD
Notification of results: November 5, 2019


Preview format:
-Standard DVD
-Uploaded file (1 stamp)

Requirements:
1) Films completed after: January 1st,2019
2) Maximum duration: 20 Minutes
3) Country of production: All countries
4) Screening format: HD 1080P (1920*1080) and above, preferably H264 video coding.
5) Accepted genres: Drama, documentary and animation

Other criteria:
6) Subtitles: English subtitles are needed for dialogue, voice-over and narration


The final shortlisted films will be announced on November 5th, 2019.
