COMPETITION

The Bamberger Kurzfilmtage offers competitions for short fictions, documentary shorts, animated shorts, experimental shorts and children's shorts from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Luxembourg and South Tyrol

Opening submissions: April 17, 2024
Final deadline: September 2, 2024 Free
Notification of results: December 15, 2024

-Uploaded file (1 stamp)

Requirements:
1) Films completed after: January 1st 2023
2) Maximum duration: 30 minutes incl. credits
3) Country of production: Germany, Austria, German-speaking Switzerland, Luxembourg and South Tyrol
4) Screening format: DCP
5) Accepted genres: Fiction, Documentary, Animation, Experimental, Children

Other criteria:
6) Subtitles: We prefer films in German language or original audio with German subtitles. Films with German audio must have English subtitles.

The selection committees will decide about the selection of films for the festival program as well as their allocation to the individual competitions or to the special programs.
All those submitting films to the festival will be informed until the 15th of December 2024, whether their entry has been included in the festival program. In this case, they must ensure that the screening files / DCP files will arrive in Bamberg by the 2nd of January 2025 at the latest.
