THE FESTIVAL PROGRAMMES ARE RESERVED FOR FIRST FILMS AND SCHOOL FILMS ONLY!
Participating in the Festival implies your acceptance of the following regulations.
Submission deadlines:
- March 15th, 2023 for 2022 copyrighted films
- June 1st, 2023 for 2023 copyrighted films
- Films received will be eligible for and considered for all programmes (except Young Audience programmes).
- Only live-action fiction films that are debut films or film school productions are selected for Festival programmes (except Young Audience programmes).
- Animation films are only selected for Young Audience programmes.
- Only debut and European school films will be considered for the European competition.
- The French competition is only for French debut and school films.
- Only debut and school films made or produced in Brittany, France, will be considered for the Breton competition.

Opening submissions: February 1, 2023 Final deadline: June 1, 2023 Free Notification of results: August 31, 2023

Requirements: 1) Films completed after: January 1st, 2022 2) Maximum duration: 30 minutes 3) Country of production: The entry should be a European production, i.e. produced or coproduced by a MEDIA country (please check the list of countries accepted in the regulation). 4) Screening format: DCP, HD file 5) Accepted genres: Only fiction films.
Other criteria:
6) First film / School film: Only live-action fiction films that are debut films or film school productions are selected for Festival programmes (except Young Audience programmes).

The films must not have been registered in a previous edition of the Brest Festival.
The list of the selected films will be available on the festival's website on September.

YOUNG AUDIENCE SECTION / FESTIVAL 2023
|
Participating in the Festival implies your acceptance of the following regulations.
Submission deadlines:
- March 15th, 2023 for 2022 copyrighted films
- June 1st, 2023 for 2023 copyrighted films
- All films submitted are considered for all the Young Audience programmes at the Festival, including family, school and teen programmes (so from age 2 to 16 inclusive).
- Young Audience programmes are open to live-action and animation films.
- The films selected for the schools programmes will compete in the Schools Award category.
