INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION
|
The international competition is reserved for French-speaking short fiction films.
- About twenty French-speaking short films will be selected by our selection committee
- The films must be professional and therefore produced.
- All films MUST present an acting performance which will be examined by a Jury of directing and casting professionals.
PLEASE NOTE: French films are excluded (please register your film in the National Competition)

Requirements: 1) Films completed after: 1st January 2023 2) Maximum duration: 25 mins 3) Country of production: The festival only accepts films made in French-speaking countries* Albania, Algeria, Andorra, Armenia, Belgium, Benin, Bulgaria, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cabo Verde, Cambodia, Cameroon, Canada, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Comoros, Congo, Ivory Coast, Djibouti, Dominica, Egypt, Macedonia, France, Gabon, Ghana, Greece, Guinea, Haiti, Laos, Lebanon, Luxembourg, Madagascar, Mali, Mauritania, Mauritius, Moldova, Monaco, Morocco, Niger, Romania, Rwanda, Saint Lucia, Sao Tomé and Principe, Senegal, Seychelles, Switzerland, Chad, Togo, Tunisia, Vanuatu, Vietnam.

Other criteria:
6) AWARDS: Prizes in all categories will be awarded to the winning films and to the directors. The jury's decisions are final.

♦Prix AAFA - Actrices et Acteurs de France Associés 7) YOUNG ACTRESSES AND ACTORS IN THE SPOTLIGHT: Young actresses and actors highlighted in the Competition: this is the concept of the festival which highlights new talents at the beginning of their career. The Dinan Short Films Festival offers these young actresses and actors an opportunity to be visible and to meet film and audiovisual professionals to develop their network. In partnership with Actrices & acteurs de France Associés (AAFA) and the Association des Directrices et Directeurs de Casting (ARDA), three interpretation prizes are awarded in all categories.

The total duration of the film must be between 5 and 25 minutes (credits included).
Particular attention will be paid to the sound aspect of the films to ensure good listening quality. Also be careful to use royalty-free music.
Films must be in French.
The list of selected films will be available on the festival's website during the month of October.

- A dozen short films will be selected by our selection committee
- Competition open to self-produced films.
- All films MUST present an acting performance which will be examined by a Jury of directing and casting professionals.
