Opening submissions: January 29, 2024
Early deadline: April 14, 2024 Free
Final deadline: May 1, 2024 Free
Notification of results: August 1, 2024


Preview format:
-Uploaded file (1 stamp)

Requirements:
1) Films completed after: 31st December 2022 (from January 2023)
2) Maximum duration: 50 minutes
3) Country of production: All countries
4) Screening format: DCP and ProRes, or H264
5) Accepted genres: Animation (all genres and techniques)

Other criteria:
6) Language & Subtitles: The screening versions of films with dialogues or on-screen text in a language other than French should come with a separate (un-etched) subtitle file. If French or English subtitles are not available, please send us a dialogue list in English with the time code. More info regarding subtitling is available here: www.pro.animatou.com/subtitling
7) Selection announcement: Mid-July, by email via the Short Film Depot platform. Only selected films will be contacted individually.

SWISS ANIMATION

The official origin of the film is determined by the production company or entity. Animatou only requires that the director or one of the (co-)production entities be a Swiss national or based in Switzerland for a film to qualify to participate in the Swiss Competition.
